Cut from smooth and thick Bull Leather, this shirt – jacket hybrid, exclusive to Atelier, utilizes minimal seam work and hand polishing to wholly accentuate the  animal hide. This refined presentation ensures the patina will evolve well with time and repeated wear.

On April 26th, we hosted a launch party for the volume 2 StyleZeitgeist Magazine.
We were delighted with the results as well as the strong show of support from our friends.

Here is the video taken by Wataru Bob Shimosato from An Unknown Quantity:

Long and Strong

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

This Spring we present an exploration in long and dramatic shapes:

Thamanyah’s linen demi-kandora can be twisted around the waist and tucked into jeans for a casual alternative to this light and austere silhouette.

Lost & Found’s elongated pull-over cotton shirt holds a front pouch pocket and raw hemlines.

Boris Bidjan Saberi’s seamless cotton half-sleeve knit is vented at the hemline for easy movement.

Ann Demeulemeester’s henley closure cotton tunic is featherweight and balanced by seamwork that echoes tailored clothing.

InAisce’s crisp cotton shirt features a standing collar and covered placket.

Carol Christian Poell Prosthetic Arms / Hands

Friday, April 20th, 2012

Ever the proponent of the unusual, Carol Christian Poell’s work explores aspects of the human anatomy. We offer these pairs of protective gloves as examples. Made of thick gleaming Horse leather, the full sleeve ‘arms’ are hinged on exposed titanium protrusions at the elbow and knuckles. The ‘hands’ are made using softer Kangaroo leather.
