Client Style no.2: Eddie C. & Jeff S.

Eddie C. (left)
1. What do you do? Take care of Jeff and our amazing standard poodle Alex / Personal makeup artist & hairdresser to performance artist Marina Abramovic.
2. What item could you not live without? Chrome Hearts rings
3. How would you describe your style? I would love to answer basic/simplistic but I’m a child of the 70′s who adored Bowie, LaBelle & Cher. I was destined to have sequins & feathers in my closet… However thanks to Atelier and Karlo Steel I’ve also become passionate over beautiful flowing fabrics…
4. What are you wearing right now? I’m wearing Julius leather jacket, Number (N)ine fur vest, Julius skirt, Rick Owens trainers and Chrome Hearts bag
5. How long have you shopped at Atelier? 7 years…

Jeff S. (right)
1. What do you do? Chief Operating Officer of a Digital Advertising and Production company, avVenta Worldwide LLC, with offices in New York, LA and Costa Rica.
2. What item could you not live without? That is a tough one since I love to have options… but if I was forced to pick one item it would be my Carol Christian Poell high neck coat.
3. How would you describe your style? I never really think that I have style…. but I guess it would be a bit “eclectic” since I love to mix my other passion of sneakers in with all the wonderful pieces I acquire from Atelier.
4. What are you wearing right now? Jacket and hat by Yohji Yamamoto, Julius shorts, Comme des Garcons shirt, sneakers by Alejandro Ingelmo, and all jewelry by Chrome Hearts.
5. How long have you shopped at Atelier? I think around 7 years.

Preview of Spring/Summer 2011 Collection at Atelier

Dear Friends:

Here is a little preview of Spring/Summer 2011 buy. Along with our usual collections, we’ve add some new names.

Dior Homme
The S/S ’11 Dior Homme collection by Kris van Assche was elegant and austere. This long sleeveless coat in grain de poudre captures the essence perfectly.

Haider Ackermann
The menswear debut by Haider Ackermann clearly has his signature. The double lapeled short jacket (shown over a kimono style shirt) is buttonless; a style found in his women’s collections.

Julius
This very lightweight Julius wool blazer, with detachable “bum flap”, allows the wearer to determine the length.

Ann Demeulemeester
The double height waistband of this full trouser by Ann Demeulemeester provides an easy feeling for Spring.

MA+
This m.a+ biker jacket is made of polished calf. The double collar is a new detail.

LUC
In a continuing series of garments made using a limited amount of fabrics culled from vintage military sources, the material for this Label Under Construction jacket came from old tents.

SIGNALS
Also by Label Under Construction is a new project called Signals, which will be available in only a few selected stores. The concept is based on communication (in this case, morse code), thus the dots and dashes knitted in this top.

Damir Damir
This pull on short from Damir Doma is a hybrid between a sarouel and a sarong.

Yohji Yamamoto
This Yohji Yamamoto‘s stark white shirt/jacket walks the line between casual and formal.

CdGH+
A special “burn away” technique is used to achieve the skull on the back of this sweater by Comme des Garcons Homme Plus.

Lost & Found
This textured jacket in wool and cotton by Lost & Found has a cutaway detail at the wrist.

Fabrics Interseason
A smock in the manner of Gustav Klimt from Fabrics Interseason.

Augusta
The spun sugar effect on these Augusta boots is made with glass.

Guidi
This unlined shoe in full grain cordovan by Guidi has all the easiness of a slipper.

We have a few more surprises in store for Spring so… watch this space!
