Melitta Baumeister is a New York based brand founded by German designer Melitta Baumeister and visual artist Paul Jung in 2013, which focuses on new materiality and form as its core process. Born into a family of tailors, Baumeister’s desire to challenge traditional construction and silhouette is no surprise; garments are often exaggerated in volume and shape using rigid materials and experimental techniques.
