Former head designers for Raf Simons’ Dior and Supreme, respectively, Lucie and Luke Meier took the helm of German designer Jil Sander’s namesake label for Spring/Summer 2018. The husband-and-wife duo brings a refreshing emotionality to the brand’s womenswear line, lending sensitivity and soulfulness to Sander’s rigorously minimalist aesthetic. The pair’s intimate designs find a pristine balance between dualities: tradition and innovation, masculine and feminine, sensuality and asceticism through wardrobe staples like the white poplin shirt or the slim wool trouser.
